This package is a three-day trip around the capital of the region of Les Garrigues including cycling excursions.
You will sleep every day in Les Borges Blanques and from there you can follow routes around the village and meet the people who are working and producing the products and food that you will enjoy at lunch and dinner time.
You will be able to enjoy guided visits to oil mills, wine cellars and other producers who will explain how they obtain a quality product, which you will then be able to appreciate it even more.
You will also be shown historical areas of the region such as cave paintings, dry stone huts or museums with information about the Spanish Civil War.
Day 1: Arrival at Les Borges Blanques
The arrival to Hostal Benet, in the center of Les Borges Blanques, where you will stay the first night and we will give you an orientation brief.
Day 2: Les Borges Blanques – Fulleda – Les Borges Blanques
Departure in the morning from the Hostal Benet to complete a route of 51 km and where you can find different castles and hermitages and dry – stone shelter.
In the last 10 km of the stage, they meet the company (Oleum flumen) where they can visit their land and taste olive oil and finally reach Les Borges Blanques
In the afternoon visit Cal Gineret to learn a little more about the history of the city during the Civil War.
Day 3: Les Borges Blanques – Arbeca – Juneda – Les Borges Blanques
Departure from Hostal Benet towards Arbeca via El Canal d’Urgell. Once in Arbeca, they can visit the Ca L’Argilés Old Oil Mill; St. Jaume’s Church; Arbeca Castle and the Els Vilars fortress.
Halfway through, you can stop for a meal and then visit the winery in Els Vilars which takes an hour and a half to make the visit and finally finish the 51 km route.
To sleep at night, they will return to the hostel Benet.
Day 4: Les Borgues Blanques – El Cogul – Les Borgues Blanques
On the last day of activities, the excursion will go to the village of El Cogul where they can stop to see the cave paintings and in the center of the village there is also a mural painted by a local artist. On the way back they will pass by Els Bessons, a small mountain with a viewpoint and views of the vineyards.
Day 5: Les Borgues Blanques – Back home
On the last day, in the morning, walk around the village and go home.
