This package is designed to discover the region of Las Garrigues in a different way, using sustainable transport such as cycling.
It includes excursions to visit the most emblematic and historic areas such as the Cogul cave paintings or the Iberian fortress of Los Vilars.
On the other hand, you can also enjoy the gastronomy that characterizes this region and that is well known for its high-quality olive oils, its wines and guided tours of the vineyards and facilities to learn how all these products are produced at first hand.
Day 1: Arrival at Vilosell
The arrival to the Vilosell Wine Hotel, in Vilosell, where you will stay the first night and we will give you an orientation brief.
Day 2: El Vilosell – Tarrés – El Vilosell
In the morning you will leave from the Hotel Vilosell Wine and there will be a cycling route of about 40 km long to visit the nearest villages and churches.
In the afternoon there will be a visit to the Tomàs Cusiné winery in the same village of Vilosell.
Day 3: El Vilosell – Les Borges Blanques
Departure from the Hotel Vilosell Wine towards Cervià de Les Garrigues to see the church, later the Albagès castle and along the way different dry-stone huts.
The track is 53 km long and takes about 4 hours at a very slow pace.
In the afternoon visit the center of Les Borges Blanques where you can visit the church and other attractions.
Finally, they stay at the Hostal Benet.
Day 4: Les Borgues Blanques – Fulleda – Les Borgues Blanques
Departure in the morning from the Hostal Benet to complete a route of 51 km and where you can find different castles and hermitages and dry – stone shelter.
In the afternoon visit Cal Gineret for an oil taste in the center of the Les Borges Blanques.
Day 5: Les Borgues Blanques – Arbeca – Juneda – Les Borgues Blanques
Departure from Hostal Benet towards Arbeca via El Canal d’Urgell. Once in Arbeca, they can visit the Ca L’Argilés Old Oil Mill; St. Jaume’s Church; Arbeca Castle and the Els Vilars fortress.
Halfway through, you can stop for a meal and then visit the winery in Els Vilars which takes an hour and a half to make the visit and finally finish the 51 km route.
Day 6: Les Borgues Blanques – La Granadella
The last stage will be 40 km long and will pass through the village of El Cogul where they can stop to see the cave paintings and in the center of the village there is also a mural painted by a local artist.
Finally, arrive to La Granadella where after lunch they can visit the oil museum of Catalonia and sleep in Ca La Ingàsia in the center of La Granadella.
Day 7: La Granadella – Back home
On the last day, in the morning, walk around the village of La Granadella and go home.
