Route to discover parts of Catalonia, during the months of October and November. You won’t stay in the area of Barcelona, but you will discover new regions, new landscapes such as Les Garrigues, where during the period from October to January the olive harvest takes place and produces one of the best oils in Catalonia.
You will arrive by plane to Barcelona where you will take public transport to get to Vinaixa Here you will stay in a house equipped with a swimming pool, spa area, barbecue and much more.
During the 5 days that you will stay in the region of Les Garrigues you will carry out various activities related to local gastronomy and olive harvesting, from buying the typical products at a weekly market, to enjoying a tasting menu at a restaurant with typical dishes of the region or harvesting olives and learning how olive oil is made. All journeys will be made by private bus.
Day 1: Arrival at Vinaixa
The arrival to La Cantera rural, in Vinaixa, where you will stay the first night and we will give you an orientation brief.
And for dinner you will go to Masia Les Garrigues in Les Borges Blanques.
Day 2: Vinaixa – Juneda – Vinaixa
In the morning you will go to Juneda where on Thursday there is the weekly market, and you can buy local products so that later a chef can do a show cooking at home elaborating traditional recipes.
Day 3: Vinaixa – El Vilosell – Vinaixa
You will leave Vinaixa for El Vilosell where you will visit the Tomàs Cusiné winery and enjoy a wine tasting and then have lunch at the restaurant of the Vilosell Wine Hotel.
In the afternoon you will return to Vinaixa to rest.
Day 4: Vinaixa – La Pobla de Cérvoles – Vinaixa
In the morning you will go to La Pobla de Cérvoles where you will do an activity related to the Olive harvest, breakfast and lunch are included in the same activity.
Finally, the chef will make dinner at La Cantera Rural.
Day 5: Vinaixa – Back home
On the last day, in the morning, walk around the village and go home.
