You will know the three seas which surround this country, the Mediterranean, the Cantabrian Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the interior area, the history and customs that determine the character of this country.
Day 1: Arrival in Barcelona
Welcome at the airport, check-in in your hotel for 2 nights in the centre of town. Depending on the arrival time first general visit of the city.
Day 2: Barcelona & Gaudí
Visit of Barcelona and the most famous buildings of Gaudi, with entry in the Sagrada Familia. In the afternoon visit the old town and Gothic quarter.
Day 3: Girona & Gaudí
Start after breakfast in Girona. Visit this charming city. Next stop, Figueras to visit the Dali Museum. Continue to Palamós, a fisher town at the Costa Brava. Check in at the hotel for 2 nights.
Day 4: Costa Brava & Middle Age Catalonia
Today you will experience the area in a different way.
How about a trip with the Burricleta (electric bike) through the medieval villages of the area – or be a fisherman for a day, in a sailing boat along the wild coast.
Day 5: Laguardia and Rioja
After breakfast departure for Laguardia in La Rioja, worldwide famous for its Rioja wine. During the trip, stop in Zaragoza for a short visit of the centre. Continue the journey through awesome desert landscape of Los Monegros.
Day 6: La Rioja and Bilbao
Area tour and visit of a wine cellar with wine and typical products tasting. Continue to Bilbao. Visit of the Guggenheim Museum. Check-in at the Hotel Zenit for 2 nights.
Day 7: Bilbao and San Sebastian
Today you will visit the north coast of the Cantabrian Sea. You will visit the city of Bilbao, as well as San Sebastian, one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, famous for its Pinxos bars in the centre and the beach of La Concha.
Day 8: Mountain range “Picos de Europa” and Cantabria
Today we continue to the Picos de Europa, natural park and mountain range that separates the north from the plateau of the interior of Spain. On the way, we will pass Santillana del Mar and also visit the caves of Altamira, with cave paintings from the upper Paleolithic, dated approx. 18.000 years ago – World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a walk along the coast before traveling to the mountains or you can do an activity in the natural park of the mountains like horse-riding or a quad excursion.
Day 9: Salamanca
Today you will go to Salamanca, crossing the plateau of Castile and Leon about 700-1000m of altitude and first kingdom of Spain. Visit of Salamanca, “university town” and World Heritage Site.
Day 10: Sevilla and Andalusia
The next goal: the south of Spain, Seville. To get there you cross the area of Extremadura, known for its hard climate and its oak forests. Breeding place of the Iberian pig and elaboration of its ham. Visit of a cattle ranch to know the whole process of elaboration.
Day 11: National Park Doñana and Sevilla
Today you will visit the National Park of Doñana, natural paradise and stop of the migratory birds between Europe and Africa. In the afternoon, you will visit the city of Seville.
Day 12: Gibraltar and Ronda
The journey continues to Ronda, a charming “white” village, but the route will take you through Jerez de la Frontera to Gibraltar, from where we will be able to see through the Strait of Gibraltar the African continent at only 14.4 km.
Day 13: Granada and Córdoba
Today we will take you to know the world-famous Alhambra of Granada. After the visit and on the way to Cordoba, travel along magnificent olive groves. Stop to visit an olive farm, including an oil tasting. After the visit, the trip continues to Cordoba.
Day 14: Córdoba and Madrid
In the morning visit of Cordoba and its Mosque, another world heritage site. After the visit, you continue the trip to Madrid. On the way stop in Toledo for visit.
Day 15: Madrid
Visit of Madrid, capital of Spain, including the entrance to the museum El Prado.
Day 16: Transfer OUT – Airport Madrid
Transfer from the hotel to the airport of Madrid.
